Venison Roast Recipe

These are the ingredients needed and steps for a venison roast recipe:
  • 3 lb. venison roast                                                          
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon grease or shortening                                   
  • 1 cup catsup                                                                             
  • 1 medium onion
  • salt and pepper
  • 8 medium potatoes
  • 3 carrots

Sear roast in fat until brown on all sides. Place in a deep roasting pan. Pour catsup on top of roast. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Roast uncovered for 1 1/2 hours in 325 degree oven. Add vegetables, cover and continue roasting for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 8.
